About the Artists:
Jimmy Edgar: Warp recording artist Jimmy Edgar, (aka Kristuit Salu) furthers his
studies in --Detroit ambience-- reaching deep in to the corridors of his hometown
to emerge with this series of drive-by style snares and heart stopping breaks.
Edgar, who continues to receive critical praise for his Warp debut --Access Rhythm-- shows
why he is deserving of such, in this frenetically paced orgy of meta-Detroit-ness
Direkt Jive: Hot off the heels of his highly touted debut releases on Detroit Underground 1 and 2,
Sarnia-based producer Chad Titian illustrates clearly his adept musicality through
his deconstructionist approach to mix assembly.
Funckarma: Dutch fraternal duo Don and Roel Funcken have been making music
together for over 20 years, best known for their unique hip-hop and IDM stylings,
the pair have been featured remixers for such notables as Speedy J, and Gridlock
and have released or been remixed on several releases from Funkstoerungs Music
Aus STrom Label.
Their project Cane has also released a set of recordings for Warp?s Arcola imprint.
Himawari Japanese duo Himawari : have put together this unique Kero based deconstruction of
their track Flexia from 2001?s popular Rematter/Low Res release Mineral.
DeLien: Detroiter Pete Greko unleashes some of his well-honed post-industrial madness for
the first time on wax. For over 7 years Greko and a rotating cast of guests have pushed the
sonic envelope in the Motor Citys experimental music scene, delivering quality releases on
their own Delien Records and Low Res Records, respectively.
